The Freywille jewelry house opened an art installation dedicated to the extraordinary Austrian architect and painter Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
The project reveals the details about the personality and significant creative achievements of Hundertwasser: here you will find ornamental painted columns, his favorite symbol of life — the spiral, and the reproduction of his most famous "magnetic" painting Irinaland beyond the Balkans.
The painter used vibrant colors, organic shapes in tune with the local landscape in the themes of his architectural structures and paintings. He never applied straight lines, which he called “the tools of the devil”.
The art installation highlights items from the Freywille jewelry collections that were inspired by Hundertwasser’s creative work: Magic Garden and Imperial. Through the use of enamel, designers expressed their interpretation of the Austrian genius' work.
Freywille's Hommage à Hundertwasser is presented at Line 2 of GUM until the end of October. We look forward to seeing you!
