Red Square served as the setting for the traditional WCT Red Square Classic tournament on February 8-9. Eight leading teams from five countries took part in the tournament.
The Moscow Team took first place at WCT Red Square Classic, the Saint Petersburg Team – second place, the Estonian team – third place.
Fans could also try a hand at curling at GUM Ice Rink. Free masterclasses by famous Russian sportspeople were held at two specially organized tracks on February 8-9.
The event was hosted by the Russian Curling Federation and the New League Association with support from the Russian Federation Ministry of Sport, Moscow City Sports Committee, World Curling Tour (WCT), and Bosco di Ciliegi.
