Rouge et Noir fountain pens were firstly released by Montblanc in 1909. They made a real revolution in the world of writing instruments then. The invention named after the famous novel by Stendhal "Red and Black" was considered an outstanding technical achievement of the time: after all, a pen could be used without dipping into ink.
Today, Rouge et Noir series of the Montblanc Heritage collection is replenished with two new models of writing instruments. They feature a characteristic detail in the shape of a snake, wrapping and sliding down the cap.
A gleaming snake with the eyes made of two cognac garnets decorates the Montblanc Heritage Rouge et Noir Tropic Brown Special Edition pen. The image of a reptile appears in the form of an elegant engraving on a precious hand-made pen of 585 gold.
In addition to the fountain pen, the series also features a roller pen and a ball-point pen. Traditionally, the top of the cap of all instruments is made of precious resin of coral-red shade and is crowned with the Montblanc emblem of ivory shade.
