The 16th season of GUM Ice Rink is one of the key events in the GUM holiday program. GUM Ice Rink has prepared numerous surprises, masterclasses with the stars, and shows that everyone will enjoy! The focal point of the GUM Ice Rink is the unforgettable winter wonderland ambiance created in the heart of Moscow.
This year’s theme comes from the famous ballet “Nutcracker.” Artists, professional skaters, and other GUM friends and partners were among the first to experience the revelry! Tatyana Navka, Pyotr Chernyshev, and Margarita Dorbyazko showcased scenes from the new ice show “Swan Lake.”
GUM Ice Rink offers completely free-of-charge admittance to the first four skating sessions every weekday! Nothing is quite as invigorating as skating outside on a clear winter day!
The program also includes the unique free masterclasses hosted by Russian star athletes! Every Saturday world hockey champion Alexey Yashin will present the secrets of his success at GUM Ice Rink. Another special guest is Yuri Ovchinnikov, one of the USSR’s most famous ice skaters. Ovchinnikov will teach figure ice-skating techniques. The masterclasses will be organized several times throughout the season, so do visit the GUM Ice Rink site to learn more about the masterclasses and to sign up! GUM Ice Rink Opening Hours: every day, 9:00 to 23:00. The first four sessions on weekdays are completely free of charge. No more than 450 people are admitted for each session. Ice skates are regularly disinfected. The ice rink features on-site air sanitizers and germicidal lights.
Weekday ticket price: adult – 500 ₽, kids (7 to 12) – 300 ₽. Free tickets are offered to kids no older than 7 provided that an adult accompanies the child and buys an adult ticket. Weekend ticket price: adult – 700 ₽, kids – 400 ₽. During the holidays (December 26, 2021 through January 9, 2022), weekday adult tickets are priced at 500 ₽ for the first three sessions and at 700 ₽ for the remaining time. Adult tickets are priced at 800 ₽ on weekends and holidays. Kids tickets – 400 ₽. Weekday retiree ticket price – 200 ₽, weekends and holidays – 300 ₽. The prices do NOT include renting ice skates.
