Habito – New Signature Collection by Weekend Max Mara

It was created in collaboration with internationally renowned architect and designer Patricia Urquiola for the Fall-Winter 2022-2023 season. This is the tenth collection in the history of the Weekend Max Mara Signature project.

Patricia's multifaceted talent, fueled by whimsical visions and sounds, creates a collection full of exquisite combinations. Wide, loose silhouettes continue the tradition of Weekend Max Mara style. The collection was created for avid travelers who are rapidly rushing through life, and therefore the models combine bright individuality and comfort. “In Spanish, ‘habito’ is a combination of the words ‘habits’ and ‘to inhabit’. My work is a continuous exploration of human abilities: how we could organize space better, how we could live in a house with non-standard dimensions. Why not continue this theme in fashion? Clothing items are parts of our homes that we carry with us everywhere. The leitmotif of the collection is hybrid looks that are designed to provide a feeling of home comfort and give pleasant emotions.» says Patricia Urquiola, explaining why the Habito project is so important to her.

Contrasting patterns, variegated flowers, varied textures and silhouettes immediately catch the eye. Intertwined with each other, they create the effect of unpredictability. So, a blouse easily turns into a jacket, and coats and quilted jackets imperceptibly mix with each other.
Coats without a doubt become an iconic element of the collection and clearly illustrate Urquiol's ideas about "hybridization" in clothing. We see a complete reimagining of the classic Weekend Max Mara silhouettes. This is most evident in the cocoon coat, which fuses traditional wool and knitwear with modern nylon for a matte, lustrous and reflective effect.
A tribute to Patricia Urquiola's roots are some of the Spanish details we find in the collection, such as bright hems, volumes and folds.

One of the main roles is given to color. It accentuates individual elements or creates a gradient effect on blouses and oversized knitwear.

The collection is presented in the brand's boutique on the 3rd line of GUM.
