GUM-Skating Rink and GUM-Fair are opened at Red Square!

GUM-Fair and GUM-Skating rink offer interesting cultural program every year: friendly hockey matches featuring NHL world stars are held, famous figure skaters present their performances, New Year, Christmas and Maslenitsa are celebrated here in style.
But the opening is surely the most large-scale event. It will take place on November 29th this year and will be marked by the great balloonists and sky explorers. Festivities and skating will run in the futuristic scenery of the past: the GUM-Skating rink and its beautiful Christmas tree will be decorated with huge balloons, large models of air balloons and zeppelins, flying ships and dirigibles. Our great-grandfathers imagined Moscow of 2259 just like this.
Olympic champion Tatiana Navka will show fragments of her new musical on ice "Ruslan and Lyudmila" within the opening ceremony. Many generations’ favorite fairy tale, put on ice firstly, is one of the most anticipated premieres of the up-coming winter.
Hockey fans will apreciate master-classes from the world champion hockey player Alexei Yashin, conduct at the GUM-Skating rink on weekends at 10.00 and 11.30. Starting from January 20th, the winner of the world championships and the European champion in skating Yuri Ovchinnikov waits for everyone who wants to learn the basics and spectacular elements of figure skating.
It's time to go to the GUM-Fair after active and energetic skating. Golden pancakes with caviar, tea, mead, sbiten, hot pies and baked potatoes are prepared for the admirers of Russian cuisine. You can please yourself with mulled wine, Viennese wafers or roasted chestnuts in case you want to plunge into the ambience of old Europe. Fast food  lovers can opt for Wok noodles or Free pit-stop fried potatoes.
Other wooden cottages offer New Year gifts in Russian style. Kids & adult guests of the GUM-Fair can ride merry-go-rounds - there are five this season: with balloons, cups, chains, cars and even a two-story with carved horses.
GUM-Skating Rink and GUM-Fair will be open daily from 10.00 to 23.30 from November 30th, 2017 through February 28th, 2018.
