The opening in GUM is the fulfillment of another dream of the 12 STOREEZ team. The historical building of GUM is recognized as an architectural monument of federal significance, and the department store located in it is one of the symbols of Moscow and a favorite place for tourists: about 60 thousand people visit it every day.
The new flagship store is the largest in the history of the brand, its area is 1,220 square meters. m. It occupies three floors in the corner part of the building - at the intersection of Ilyinka and Vetoshny Lane - and has three entrances - fr om Ilyinka, on the first floor fr om the third line of GUM and on the second floor.
This store differs from others not only in scale, but also in design. In the interior you can notice elements of the Art Deco style, wh ere strict geometry is combined with smooth natural lines, and velvet is combined with glossy varnish. The upholstery of the furniture uses materials from Italian suppliers, and the interior is designed in calm, soft shades.
The 12 STOREEZ team preserved part of the interior of the former Hermes boutique - a “floating” staircase created under the direction of the French architect Denis Montel. The staircase acts as the central axis of the entire space and, like a suspension bridge, invites you to stroll around the store.
The second floor, due to panoramic windows on two sides, is full of light and a sense of air - the ceiling height here is about 7 meters. On each floor there are comfortable relaxation areas with soft sofas and tables wh ere you can drink a cup of coffee and children can play. The store has more than ten spacious fitting rooms with professionally installed lighting, which will make it convenient to work with the stylist. The women's collection is presented on the first floor, and the women's and men's collections on the second floor.
