Manolo Blahnik Autumn 2018 collection refers to the several topics, reflected in the legendary shoes, ankle boots, flats and other models of footwear of the upcoming season. The theme of women and femininity is followed by the theme of architecture.

This season, Baroque architecture of the Sicilian churches was added to the theme of femininity. The designer’s favorite building, the Basilica della Collegiate in Catania, is a typical example of this architectural direction. The quaint decor of its columns was reflected in the motives of KARENOV model. Similar motif is embodied in the Abukovflat , which echoes the style of details of the famous cathedral in Syracuse.

The designer’s favorite "Vertical Still-life" by Le Corbusier – a talented architect and an artist who has become a pioneer of the "purism" direction - also has something in common with the architecture. Arale - the mules, created by the canons of this direction is about simple shape with clear geometric details.
