The main Ice Rink of Russia is sure to bring magic and joy to every visitor! The theme of the 13th season of the GUM Ice Rink is focused on favorite characters from Soviet cartoons. The first open session of the season is on November 30.
This year the opening ceremony of the GUM Ice Rink will be “attended” by characters beloved by all Russian children. Depictions of Cheburashka and Gena the Crocodile, Karlsson, the Wolf and Rabbit from Just You Wait cartoons, Winnie-the-Pooh and the cast of Prostokvashino cartoons from the golden collection of Soviet animated films will appear all around the GUM Ice Rink and the GUM Fair during the New Year’s celebrations.
On November 29 exclusively for the GUM Ice Rink Tatyana Navka, the prominent figure skater, will present some scenes from her new musical on ice — The Scarlet Flower. The world premiere of the show will take place at Megasport Palace of Sports in Moscow on December 25. The new project of the famed skater combines the art of world-class skating professionals, state-of-the-art visual effects and original music. The audience of GUM Ice Rink will be the among the first people to see this magnificent show! Visitors will enjoy dances by Tatyana Navka and Peter Chernyshev, two-time Four Continents Champion, as well as an open air fantasy including the whole cast of the show.
2018 was announced as the Year of Volunteers in Russia, this is the reason why volunteers will be in the audience of the GUM Ice Rink opening ceremony for the first time. This event will also launch the celebrations of the National Volunteer Day (December 5). The Ambassador of the Volunteer Day will talk about the main ideas and the mission of volunteer services in general.
During the opening ceremony GUM Ice Rink will be hosting a feast with such treats, as aromatic mulled wine, yummy pancakes, all kinds of pies, charcuterie and hot corncobs. Be the first one to rent a pair of skates and take a round at the GUM Ice Rink on Red Square. You will be assisted by volunteers and entertainers dressed as Soyuzmultfilm characters.

GUM Ice Rink and GUM Fair will be open daily from 10.00 to 23.30 from November 30, 2018 to February 29, 2019.
The first four morning sessions on working days and the first morning sessions on the weekends are free of charge, excluding New Year’s holidays.
Tickets for other sessions on working days are priced as follows: tickets for adults are at 400 ₱, tickets for children aged from 7 to 12 are at 200 ₱. A children’s ticket entitles one adult to enter the rink. Adults escorting a child are kindly asked to refrain from skating.
On weekends the price for adult tickets is at 500 ₱, while children’s tickets are at 300 ₱. During the holidays from December 29 to January 8, 2019, adult tickets will be at 600 ₱ and children’s tickets at 300 ₱.
All Mastercard holders enjoy a 15% discount with all card payments at the Ice Rink ticket office.
Tickets for senior citizens will be priced at 200 ₱ on working days, and 300 ₱ on weekends, while preschool children (aged up to 7 years) can skate at the GUM Ice Rink for free providing that they are attended by their parents or an adult.
This season GUM Ice Rink prepared brand new skates for rent: white figure skates and black hockey skates! Rentals for adults are at 300 ₱, for children and senior citizens – 200 ₱, on holidays rentals are, correspondingly, – 300 ₱ and 250 ₱.
The security deposit for the skates and equipment is at 2000 ₱ or you can leave an ID (driver’s license, pensioner ID card, army ID card, etc.)
