On March 14 the French House of Luxury Jewelry and Watches hosted the MANIFESTO CARTIER. IN THE AVANT-GARDE. BEYOUND TIME Gala-Dinner. The evening was dedicated to the reopening of the boutique at GUM. The President and CEO of Cartier Cyrille Vigneron arrived to Moscow for this very special occasion.
The guests enjoyed a unique contemporary performance by Maxim Didenko and gastronomic delights prepared by Anatoly Kazakov at the renovated space in avant-garde style on GUM’s Line 1 and at the Demonstration Hall.
The myth about the creation of the Universe became the main theme and leitmotif of the soiree. GUM’s exhibition space was transformed into a total video installation symbolizing the path from the creation of the Sun to the birth of a Man. The creation of life was embodied by a dance directed by Anna Abalikhina with Irina Rydnina reciting Velimir Khlebnikov’s poetry.
The fashion show became the pinnacle of the evening. In an attempt to stop the eluding Time, the Creator inspires people to make artifacts – for instance, masterpieces by Cartier.
