GUM hosted the drawing ceremony and opening ceremony of the World Archery Cup Final on September 4. This year, for the first time, GUM becomes a national sponsor of the World Archery Cup Final, which will be held on September 6-7 at the Prestige Alley of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex.
Famous sportspeople, TV personalities, actors, and friends of Bosco took part in the festivities: Alexander and Ekaterina Strizhenov, Svetlana Khorkina, Konstantin Bogomolov and Ksenia Sobchak, Egor Beroev, Elena Zakharova, Alexey Nemov, Ekaterina Shipulina, Oleg and Anastasia Menishikov, Ingeborga Dapkūnaitė, Ekaterina Odintsova, Pavel and Svetlana Astakhov, Evgenia Milova, Konstantin and Elena Remchukov, Daria Mikhalkova, Yang Ge, Karolina Andolenko, and many others. Ivan Urgant was the master of ceremonies.
At 07:00 pm, a bow shooting demonstration took place in the center of the GUM, by the fountain. Archers will shoot from the bridges of the second floor at apples and cherries.
World Archery president Uğur Erdener, Russian Archery Federation president Vladimir Esheev, and head of the Moscow City Department of Sports Alexey Kondarantsev participated in the opening ceremony by the GUM Fountain.

Compound bow: Anton Bulaev (Russia) and James Lutz (USA); Alexis Ruiz (USA) and Natalia Avdeeva (Russia). Recurve: Kang Chae Young (South Korea) and Sayana Lee (Russia), Zheng Yichai (China) and Ksenia Perova (Russia); Brady Ellison (USA) and Artem Makhnenko (Russia). Mixed teams (recurve): Russia and South Korea. Mixed teams (compound bow): Russia and USA.
The Moscow Cup Final will be the first archery event of such a global scale since the 1980 Olympics. The World Archery governs the competition.
