May the Lucky Star Shine Upon You: Eastern Horoscope, as interpreted by contemporary Russian artists, opened at the GUM-Red-Line Gallery.
The exhibition curator Elena Krylova brought together a whole constellation of artists of her generation, whom she considers to be both the present and future of Russian contemporary art: Lyudmila Baronina, Katya Belyavskaya, Alina Glazoun, Ivan Gorshkov, Ksenia Dranysh, EliKuka Art Group, Yulia Kartoshkina, Olya Kroytor, Roman Manikhin, Viktoria Marchenkova, Rostan Tavasiev, Ivan Tuzov, Sasha Frolova, Nika Chernyaev, Valery Chtak.
During the past year, the whole world and, in particular, artists talked about global problems and complicated solutions. As the holidays approach, we are entitled to a bit of rest and an opportunity to dream.
An ironic exhibition dedicated to predicting our fortune offers us a perfect chance to consider the present from a new viewpoint and to marvel at our future with optimism. Let the lucky star shine high up above!
The exhibition runs until January 22, 2020, before the meeting at GUM!
