Paul Smith is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The brand continues to expand its retail store network around the world. The famous GUM on Red Square welcomed the reopening of the Paul Smith Boutique after renovations.
The store offers a wide selection of items from the latest Paul Smith and PS Paul Smith, including shoes, accessories, and special collaborations.
The 197 sq.m. boutique preserves many details of the historical shopping center building, including the arched ceiling and the traditional wood door entrance. The second entrance is decorated with traditional Paul Smith red and bronze details.
The concrete floor of the store includes English floorboard insertions. Upon entering the boutique, customers see a wall decorated with objets d’art: paintings, prints, and photos from around the world. A special zone adorned in bright blues and including cobalt-colored mosaics houses Paul Smith accessories.
The furniture of the boutique includes a 1950s mosaic table by French ceramist Roger Capron, a 1960s table by cult Dutch artist Friso Kramer, and 1960s steel chairs with Maharam upholstery.
Paul Smith always underlines its connection to the world of art. The boutique includes a large-scale monochromatic piece by the talented British artist Tom Pierson, abstract prints by Spanish painter Сesar Мanrique, as well as famous pieces by Alexander Calder, Pablo Picasso, and Derrick Latimer Sayer.
