Dior shop windows look like French style whimsical savannas or prairies inhabited by giraffes, monkeys, and parrots. They feature clothes and accessories from the cruise collection. The sculptures of the wild animals are decorated with the ancient Toile de Jouy pattern (literally meaning, cloth from Jouy). Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative director of Dior, chose this print as the main ornament for the new collection. It is no coincidence – Toile de Jouy was used in the interior design of the first Dior Boutique in Paris. The boutique was opened personally by Christian Dior.
