Today, the traditional and beloved Back to School Relay took place at the Children's GUM (Line 3). Are you ready for school? What can be done in the upcoming three days – August 30 and 31 and September 1? Test your skills in different subjects, get gifts for the new school year, make new friends, and, of course, buy a beautiful school uniform!
The Line 3 of GUM has turned into a real School Kingdom: right here, to the accompaniment of the cheerful children's songs, kids pass fun tests in six “subjects”. The relay involves six lessons with their own thematic podium scenes with props and decorations.
Mix It Up is the slogan for the Chemistry Lesson. Here, together with experienced chemists, kids can conduct simple experiments – say, with nitrogen, and learn that chemistry is not a boring subject at all, but a fascinating discipline. At the dance school, kids can learn modern dances with a tutor. The Real Artists! space is an authentic theatre stage with a velvet curtain perfect for funny scenes and pantomimes. Hurray! PE is the slogan at the improvised pool with tracks, a turquoise base, and floats. Learn to swim. The main task of the participants is to get to the finish line first. There Is No Place For Ignoramuses! – at a Russian language lesson, schoolchildren will take part in a spelling bee. Knowledge is power! – Is there a way to get ahead without math? Get back to the multiplication table and solve mathematical problems.
Animators give kids Children's GUM stickers which each participant can collect in the Diary of Knowledge. After passing all the "lessons", the kids will receive a prize at the Children's GUM.
Meanwhile, at the entrance to the Children's GUM, at Vetoshny Lane you can take a break: hopscotch, rubber bands, humongous soap bubbles and paper airplanes. Inside the Children's GUM – a master class on creating bright key-сhains from multi-colored beads!
Parents will also be delighted – the Children's GUM has everything that for the new school year t! From new collections of school uniforms and shoes to notebooks, briefcases, pencils, and microscopes.
