Soft & saturated limited blends are born in Africa, coffee homeland. The two new blends are available in Nespresso boutique in GUM starting from January 23rd. Flavors & aromas of rare Arabica Ethiopia Harrar and Robusta Uganda will take the gourmets to the distant & exotic continent.
London illustrator Mariana Rodriguez was invited to create the design of the package of the collections.
Nespresso experts were inspired by the legends about coffee origin when creating the new collection. Favorite Arabica was discovered in Ethiopia: a young Ethiopian shepherd, noticing that his goats graze around unusual bushes with red berries, decided to brew a drink of the fruits.
Buganda, now known as Uganda, is considered the home of the original Robusta. It considered an important part of the sacred ritual, uniting the families. Coffee berry was halved, two people ate the halves, and their descendants kept eternal friendship and devotion to each other.
Robusta Uganda will be remembered for its sweetness and intensity. The capsules are available in two volumes: espresso (40 ml) and ristretto (25 ml).
The second collection Arabica Ethiopia Harar is 100% Ethiopian Arabica featuring fruit & floral notes. Capsules from this collection are also available in two volumes: classic espresso (40 ml) and lungo (110 ml).
