The single copy writing instrument Homage to Johannes Kepler High Artistry Stella Nova Limited Edition 1 is the brightest star of the new collection. It costs € 1.4 million. 570 diamonds & 5,294 sapphires are used for its decoration.
The offbeat case made of solid white 750-carat gold is reminiscent of a telescope developed by Kepler. The unique design of the clip on the cap is inspired by a drawing compass used by the scientist. The cap and body of the pen are decorated with a pave of blue sapphires, embodying the exciting beauty of the Milky Way featuring heavenly blue shades.
The pen is crowned the brightest star - the sophisticated diamond of Montblanc's patented cut weighing 6.20 carats. It is mounted in a complex three-dimensional structure made of white gold with three rings, which symbolize the three Kepler's laws of planetary motion. The constellation of Ophiuchus, copied from the work of the scientist “De Stella Nova” is engraved in the front of the fountain pen .
Diamond cufflinks of white gold were developed to match the style of the Stella Nova Limited Edition 1.
