On the evening of October 17, GUM hosted a Burberry event dedicated to the opening of the new flagship store.
More than 300 guests attended the party at the GUM Demonstration Hall, including Burberry CEO Marco Gobbetti, Bosco Board of Directors Chairman Mikhail Kusnirovich, GUM Director General Teymuraz Guguberidze, as well as Alesya Kafelnikova, Natasha Goldenberg, Olga Karput, Elena Temnikova, Nikita Kukushkin, Lyasan Utiasheva, Ksenia Chilingarova, Oksana Bondarenko, Sati Kazanova, Gladstone Mahib, Evgeny Pavlin (Peacock), Oksana Ponomareva, and many others.
The invitees entered the venue fr om the Red Square, wh ere two mirrored sculptures in the form of unicorns were installed. The GUM Demonstration Hall was illuminated by bright light reflections of a giant mirrored figure in the form of a deer in the center. DJs Red Axes and Nikita Sabelin were taking care of the musical accompaniment for the evening that was followed by a Shortparis live performance on the mirror stage.
The new Burberry store in GUM echoes the original architecture of the building, including cross vaults and wooden wall finishes. The two-story space features Burberry's latest collections for men and women, including the Autumn/Winter 2019/20 Storm collection, the Monogram Thomas Burberry collection, Title, Lola, and TB model handbags, as well as the legendary trench coats.
