For the first time, the show will offer a comprehensive overview of Faibisovich’s works created in 2016-2020 in the technique of relief print on canvas.
Semyon Faibisovich created several pieces fr om the Metamorphoses series in Spring 2019, especially for the One Family exhibition at GUM-Red-Line. The three parts of the exhibition represent three versions of transformations. Faibisovich sees what is indiscernible to a regular eye, and replicates it in an unrepeatable way.
The various sections of the exhibition – Engravings, Paintings, Stories – reveal the textures and genre techniques of the artist, express how the artist views art today, continue the exploration of humanity and urban spaces. The New World refers to Semyon Faibisovich's new reality in Tel Aviv wh ere he lives since 2016.
The exhibition also uncovers his approaches to the latest technologies. The colorful textures and picturesque fragments relating to essential reality, visual expressivity, and timeliness – these elements ensure that the artist's endeavors are always timely.
